About Bernard Atkins

Bernard Atkins is an expanding firm of Chartered Accountants originally established in Bristol in 1974 and in the Cotswolds in 1985. The current client portfolio exceeds 400 clients and covers a wide range and variety of different types and sizes of businesses.

The Proprietor of the firm is Bernard Atkins, who has been a qualified Chartered Accountant for over 35 years. Bernard as well as having overall responsibility for the firm's client portfolio and specialises in tax planning, business advice and general tax administration. He also has been known to get stuck into a few accounts preparation jobs! Bernard is also responsible for the management of the practice.

The Audit and Accounts Manager is Morgwn Atkins a graduate in Accountancy and who recently completed a three year Chartered Accountants training contract with the firm. He is responsible for the administration and timing of audit and accounts work flow through the practice. Morgwn plans, instigates and performs the audit of limited companies and smaller business entities.

Other members of staff include full-time traineee accountants and accounts preparation/bookkeeping/payroll assistants. The firm is also supported on the administration side by a Senior Secretary.
